York and North Yorkshire Rotters
The Rotters are volunteers, from all over York and North Yorkshire, who offer friendly advice and expertise to people in their local communities who would like to reduce their waste and save money. The North Yorkshire Rotters project was launched in May 2006 in Northallerton and is now expanding with Rotter volunteers over most of the county.
The York Rotters were set up over six years ago and continue to go from strength to strength with a dedicated group of volunteers that work within the city boundary.
What do the Rotters do?

The Rotters have telephone and email help lines which you can use if you have any questions or queries on home composting or reducing your food waste or would like to arrange for a Rotter to give a talk or demonstration to your organisation.

Are you enthusiastic and passionate about gardening and environmental issues? Are you eager to reduce the amount of waste you create? If so, then the York and North Yorkshire Rotters need you!
