Listed below are the events that the York and North Yorkshire Waste Partnership are hosting or planning to attend.

Free recipe books and gadgets will be on offer as well as inspiring ideas on how to reduce your food waste this year. Come and see our smoothie bike in action - turning sad, forgotten fruit into tasty smoothies. | | RHS Harlow Carr -Spring Plant Fair | | RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate | Everyone is welcome to come along to this annual plant fair, whether you are a beginner needing advice on starting a compost bin, or an expert wanting to learn about accelerating the process or moving onto a new bin, and everything in between! | | Free Love Food Hate Waste training for green business champions and community leaders | Fri 10th May, 12.30 - 4.30pm | RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate | This training session is suitable for anyone working in a North Yorkshire business or community group who can communicate positive messages about reducing food waste to their colleagues, friends, family and/or community. The session will cover: · the significance of food waste, its causes and consequences, · how you can engage with others on Love Food Hate Waste, · where to access resources to help you spread the message. Come along and see us on the day! | | Love your Market - Ripon | Thurs 23rd May, 9am - 1pm | Ripon Market Place | We'll be showing you how to get the most out of the great produce you can buy at the market. Our Love Food Hate Waste recipes and freebies will help you to plan your meals and use up leftovers. | | Love your Market - Knaresborough | Wed 29th May, 9am - 1pm | Knaresborough Market Place | If you missed the stall at Ripon then come along to see us in Knaresborough instead. Lots of top tips and great give-aways. |

Our Rotters will be joined by local horticultural groups such as the Walled Garden, Workhouse Garden, Ripon in Bloom and the Ripon Allotments. Come along for composting hints and tips. | Dalbyology | Sun 2nd June, 10.30am - 4pm | Dalby Forest Visitor Centre, YO18 7LT | A family day out at Dalby Forest with birds of prey displays, stream dipping, paper making, a BBQ and much more. The Rotters will be providing invaluable composting advice. Novice or expert - we're sure you'll learn something new about composting. We'll also be making mini-wormaries with the young visitors so come along and see how they magically turn food into compost. Forest entrance £7 per car, free entry to the event. | | North Yorkshire County Show | Sun 16th June, 8am - 4pm | Otterington Hall, between Northallerton and Thirsk | The Rotters will be on hand to give great advice on reducing your food waste and how to produce great compost for your garden. For more information about visiting the show visit the County Fair website -www.northyorkshireshow.co.uk. | Homegrown Food Festival | Sun 23rd June, 10am - 4pm | Applegarth Park (behind the High Street), Northallerton. | Find out from the Rotters how your family can save £50 a month!
