There are a number of resources available to teach pupils about the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling their waste.

Education

Primary Education

Please visit the Primary Education page to find out how the Rotters (a group of enthusiastic volunteers) can help your school set up and manage a compost bin area, or give a talk to pupils on composting. There are also a number of websites available which can help educate pupils on reducing, reusing and recycling their waste which include lesson plans, pupil activities and web based games.

Secondary Education

To help secondary school teachers educate students on reducing, reusing and recycling waste the York and North Yorkshire Waste Partnership has produced an education resource called Wonderful Ways with Waste aimed at Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
